铜版纸性能对印刷品质量起到哪些作用?

1.铜版纸的外表强度

1. Appearance Strength of Copper Plate Paper
铜版纸的外表强度是指铜版纸外表涂料粒子之间以及涂层与原纸之间的分离强度,它是铜版纸的一项重要性能指标,通常用拉毛速度表示。铜版纸的外表强度低时,在印刷过程中易产生掉毛、掉粉现象。随着印刷的停止,堆积在印版上的纸毛、纸粉会越来越多,后招致糊版而影响印刷质量及印刷操作。所以进步铜版纸的外表强度,对保证良好的印刷效果十分必要。
The surface strength of coated paper refers to the separation strength between coatings particles and coatings and base paper. It is an important performance index of coated paper, which is usually expressed by the drawing speed. When the surface strength of copperplate paper is low, it is easy to produce wool and powder dropping in the printing process. 铜版纸的水分是指铜版纸中所含水分的重量占该铜版纸重量的百分比。随着社会的开展和进步,印刷业也有了突飞猛进的开展。商业轮转印刷机的呈现,对印刷用铜版纸在耐温性和水分含量方面都提出了新的请求。假如水分不当,耐温性差,则铜版纸在印刷中的鼓泡现象会成为轮转印刷中一个较为严重而较普遍存在的问题。

由于轮转印刷机具有高速印刷的特性,普通每小时达4万~5万张(而普通单张纸印刷速度快还不到2万张/小时),在印刷枯燥后即停止直接折页,在如此高的速度下,为了避免油墨不干、反面粘脏等印刷异常的产生,就需求印刷油墨枯燥疾速,而使油墨快速枯燥有效的办法就是高温加热,所以在轮转印刷机的构造中有一个烘箱,对印刷后的铜版纸停止加热,使油墨可以快速枯燥。

铜版纸中定量的水分在高温烘干(烘干温度普通在140℃左右)的状况下变成水蒸气向外释放,由于铜版纸单面或双面都有涂料层,且涂层中由于黏合剂及其交联剂的作用,固然防止在印刷过程中发作掉毛、掉粉现象,但对印刷油墨枯燥过程中水蒸气的向外释放不利;假如在纸张双面同一位置又正好是满版印刷,且油墨量很大时,由于油墨将纸面完整掩盖,更进一步招致水蒸气无法向外释出,就会产生鼓泡现象。

为了防止印刷中的起泡现象,选择和运用铜版纸时应留意以下3点:

(1)选择耐温性能好的铜版纸。
(1) Choose copper plate paper with good heat resistance.
(2)选择含水量在6%~8%之间的铜版纸。铜版纸含水量过高,则在短时间内不能使具有涂层和油墨的印刷品中的水蒸气快速向外释放,从而形成鼓泡产生;含水量过低,则纸张容易产生静电现象,并且趋于脆硬,不利于印刷;含水量不平均则会构成紧边、荷叶边、卷曲等。
(2) Copper plate paper with moisture content between 6% and 8% was selected.
